I found this tutorial on the Ravelry Quilting group. The concept is really interesting: sew all the strips together in a jelly roll end to end, fold in half and sew along the long edge, cut the end open. Repeat the folding, sewing, and cutting steps until you have a quilt top.
The samples show using full strips, but I thought it would be more visually interesting to use different length pieces. I had a good 1/3 of the jelly roll left from my neptune quilt that has been waiting to be made into something. I had three or four full 42″ strips, but the rest were all different sizes, and I think it made it way better looking.

After looking at it, I decided to play with it some more. I did two more folds, then two folds going the opposite direction. Love it.
